Aw man- nothing stirs up controversy like a Top 10 list of kicks. It looks like we're in need of some expansion... expansion like the Bobcats, not like the Devil Rays.
Sorry to say to all my shoe affecionados out there- the Converse All Stars aka the Chuck Taylors aren't making any list. Let's face it- there's Old School and then there's Old Fool.
Also can't give too much love the Reebok Pumps. They had no longevity. One Spring you're sporting them and you think you're the tightest kid on the blacktop. By the next Fall they're a joke. Yes, I had a pair and this happened to me- so I'm bitter. But honestly- how many of you would wear a pair of The Pumps right now. Hahaha, I bet anyone wearing Pumps on the court today would get clowned and then beat up.
Make sure to post your extended lists
Without further ado, I give you the Top 15 basketball shoes of all time:
15
Dada CDubbz
You have to check these in Black/ Chrome.
These Dada's are sure to start some controversy. Some people get a little caught up in how obnoxious they looked. I on the other hand like to appreciate them for their combination of aesthetics and functionality. Remember when CWebb busted these out at the All Star game a few years back? When Shaq was shooting free throws he shined these kicks in his eye and Shaq missed.
IS IT THE SHOES? IS IT THE SHOES?
Yes Mars. Yes Mars.

Nike Air Jordan 14 Lows in Blue
Still to this day no one gives these sneaks enough love. All I gotta say is LL 14's (ladies love the 14's) especially in this color.
13
Nike Air Go 94
Aight, I admit they look a little ugly in the pic. But when you see them up close they are on point. Back in the day they were deadly like Tim Hardaway's killer crossover.
12
Nike Air Maestros 1995
By request the Maestros. They probably should go a little higher, but they only really looked tight in this limited edition colorway- black/white/silver. Props to whoever designed these for thinking about how to make sure the swoosh still showed with size 40 pants covering up 75% of the shoe. (not that I have any experience with that)
11
Nike Air Force Max 92
Everyone from Barkley to the Fab 5 (CWebb, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, Ray Jackson, and Jimmy King) wore these. Like the Fab 5 used to say "Let yo nuts hang" in these raw kicks.

Agreed, there was a need for expansion of the shoe list to 15. However, a couple I could have done without: G Hills? Penny's? Although if you omitted these 2, the CDubbz would have risen up to the 13 spot. Which I can't get down with. Maybe if they were the ones with the wood-grain paneling - classy indeed. Where the original Air Maestro's at? Props on the Pippen II and Fab 5 Air Force picks, a couple of my favorites...
Agreed. Pippen II's were pretty dope. I'm not all that well versed in sneakers, but I do remember when you got those things. Light as a feather. If I were in the market for a pair, would I be limited to finding them on E-BAY?
Pippen II's were def fly. It's pretty much either eBay or searching for some fakes if you want non-midget (size 6) or non-giant (size 18+) fittings. I bet Nike will drop a re-release soon. Until then... a moment of silence.
